The 35^th Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale, CSI XXXV, will be held at Xiamen from September 23 to 27, 2007. CSI is one of the worldwide leading conferences in the field of spectroscopy. It will be the first time for CSI to be held in China and the third time in Asia ever since its first conference in 1949.

The main sessions of this conference will include: (1) Atomic Spectrometry (AAS, AES, AFS, Plasma, etc.); (2) Molecular Spectrometry (UV-VIS, IR, Raman, Chemiluminescence/ Fluorescence / Phosphorescence, NMR, etc.); (3) Mass Spectrometry; (4) Laser Spectrometry; (5) Hyphenated Techniques (with μ-TAS, HPLC, CE, etc.); (6) X-Ray and Synchrotron Spectroscopy; (7) Chemometrics.

In addition, we are going to organize 6 symposia on some hot topics, including (1) Elemental Speciation; (2) Environmental Analysis; (3) Frontier of Mass Spectrometry; (4) Spectroscopic Sensing of Bio-related Species; (5) Spectroscopy for Nanomaterials; and (6) surface-enhanced Spectroscopy. In parallel to the scientific sessions, we will also organize exhibition to allow the international and domestic companies and organizations to demonstrate their new products/instruments or services related to optical and mass spectroscopies, chromatography, peripheral accessories and chemicals. Details about exhibition:

1. Exhibition booth

The area of a standard booth is 3 m × 3 m (9 m²), which will include a desk, a chair, some illumination bulbs and electric sockets (220 V, 5 A). The fee for a booth already includes a complimentary registration for one person. The location of the booth will be arranged after receiving the fee and based on the first-come-first-serve policy. The sponsors of the conference have the privilege to select the booth first. The organizing committee preserves the right to make reasonable and necessary change in the arrangement of the location. Other facilities, like folding screening, extra desk and chair, light and flowers, etc., can be rent with reasonable price. If you have any special request, please make a remark on the application form.

2. Exhibition Venue

The exhibition will be arranged around the conference venue in the Xiamen People’s Hall. To ensure the high standard, the exhibition and poster session and other utilities of the conferences will be arranged in a same hall. The number of posters will be no less than 60% of the total received abstracts.
