Post-Conference Tours

Post-conference tours will be organized by Xiamen C&D International Travel Service Co. Ltd., the largest travel agency in Xiamen. Several routes have been designed to suit the interest of the different participants. The participants can select any of the routes at their own expenses.

The quoted costs are estimated according to the averaged cost in the previous several years for the end of September. The costs cover one way flight from Xiamen to the destination, the local transportation, hotel, lunches and dinners, tourist guide, the liability and accident insurances. Please contact us or the travel agency for the connection from the destination to your departure city in China before booking your international flight ticket.

A deposit of USD 50 for all routes will be charged when you make the reservation on the website and the deposit will be returned when you are making on-site registration. The cost in red is for the case that two persons share one room and that in green for a single occupancy room.

The tour needs a minimum of 10 people to sustain the listed price. If the group is less than 10, the route will be cancelled or the cost will be increased. For those who prefer to select other places, please feel free to contact us or the travel agency. We will do our best to make the arrangement individually to make your stay in China pleasant.

As the period is close the National Golden Holiday of China, the price and itineraries may be subjected to change. Updated information concerning the price and itineraries will be posted on website and sent to the registered participants.

Xi'an was one of the most important cradles of Chinese civilization. It marked the start of the famous "Silk Road" that linked China with central Asia and the Roman Empire. It served intermittently as the first capital of a unified China and capital of 11 dynasties for altogether 1000 years. Famous for its wonderful scenery, rivers and karst peaks covered in lush greenery, Guilin is one of the most beautiful places in China. Yangshuo is settled among the Li River's karst scenery. PST4: Xiamen-Wuyi Mountain, 3 days (Sept. 27-29), Cost: USD 240/310, 5 Star Hotel

PST5: Xiamen-Lijiang, This route has been canceled due to the insufficient number of participants.

The ancient city of Lijiang is situated in the northwest of Yunnan Province, south of the Yulong (Jade Dragon) Snow Mountain. Lijiang is incredibly rich in cultural resources, home to the Baisha Frescoes (a national historical relic) and "Naxi Dongjing Music" being living examples of Tang and Song Dynasty art, and also Dongba hieroglyphs, the only existing pictographs in the world. PST6: Xiamen-Quanzhou, Sept. 28, Cost: USD 47, return to Xiamen after tour

Quanzhou is a famous starting point of the ancient "Marine Silk Road" in the 13th-15th century. This city has another nickname of the "International Religious Exhibition City". PST7: Xiamen-Yongding Earthen Building (Tulou), Sept. 28, Cost: USD 57, return to Xiamen after tour

The Tulou is considered a wonder of oriental architecture. Spread around Yongding, there are 4000 square dwellings and 360 round ones. The buildings are generally formed as 2 or 3 circles. The outer circle can be as high as 31 feet and its 4 stories may hold one to two hundred rooms. The architectural structure, carvings, pillar couplets of these dwellings are quite breathtaking. Post-Conference Tours Details

PST1: Xiamen-Beijing, 3 days (Sept. 28-30), Cost: USD 401/481, 4 Star Hotel, One-Way Flight

Day 1: XIAMEN/BEIJING
Upon arrival in Beijing, you will visit Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world. Then transfer to visit Temple of Heaven. After the tour, go to Wangfujing Shopping Street.

Day 2: BEIJING
In Beijing a spectacular day as you walk along the Great Wall, one of the most remarkable architectural wonders of the world. After lunch, you will visit Panda Zoo, and visit Yaxiu Market where you can find lots of merchandises cheap but good quality.

Day 3: BEIJING/DEPARTURE
After breakfast, you will continue the tour to the Forbidden City and see the magnificent palace halls and gardens. After that, you will visit the Summer Palace, China’s second largest imperial garden. After supper, the tour ends.

PST2: Xiamen-Xi’an, 3 days (Sept. 28-30), Cost: USD 375/450, 4 Star Hotel, One-Way Flight

Day 1: XIAMEN/XI'AN
Upon arrival, you are met and join the local guide to visit the city wall, and the Big Goose Pagoda which keeps Buddhist scripts brought back from India in 652 A.D.

Day 2: XI'AN
First enjoy a full-excursion to the Terra-Cotta Warrior Museum where you will see the life-size Terra-Cotta Warriors. After lunch visit Bell Tower Square and Huaqing Pond which relate with the beauty high-ranked imperial concubine Yang’s story.

Day 3: XI’AN/DEPARTURE
After breakfast, visit the Stone Forest, then transfer to the shopping street for the free activities. After dinner, the tour ends.

PST3: Xiamen-Guilin, 3 days (Sept. 28-30), Cost: USD 333/398, 4 Star Hotel, One-Way Flight

Day 1: XIAMEN/GUILIN
Fly to Guilin This morning, which is the most scenic city of China. Upon arrival, you are met and have a city tour to the Elephant Trunk Hill. Then go to Fubo Hill where you can have bird’s eye view of the whole city. Then you will enjoy fun in Seven Star Park.

Day 2: GUILIN
In Guilin morning, depart hotel for the boat cruise along the tranquil Li River until you get to Yangshuo County. After roaming through the West Street, after dinner visit "Impression Liu Sanjie", drive back to Guilin.

Day 3: GUILIN/DEPARTURE
Visit the Reed Flute Cave, known as "A Natural Palace of Arts". Then transfer to visit the Duxiu Peak and Jingjiang Wangcheng. Then the tour ends.

PST4: Xiamen-Wuyi Mountain, 3 days (Sept. 27-29), Cost: USD 240/310, 5 Star Hotel, One-Way Flight

Day 1: XIAMEN/MT. WUYI
Fly to Mt. Wuyi by evening flight.

Day 2: MT. WUYI
After breakfast, take bamboo raft to visit the Nine-twist Stream, Song Dynasty Ancient Street, Sanqing Daoism Palace, Harmonious Temple.

Day 3: MT. WUYI/DEPARTURE
After breakfast, visit the Water-Fallen Cave, Dahongpao Tea Scenery Spot, then depart from Mt. Wuyi after dinner.

PST5: Xiamen-Lijiang, This route has been canceled due to the insufficient number of participants.

PST6: Xiamen-Quanzhou, Sept. 28, Cost: USD 47, Round-Trip

Day 1: XIAMEN/QUANZHOU/XIAMEN
After breakfast you will take bus to Quanzhou, visit the Kaiyuan Temple, Daoism Laozi Statue, Quanzhou History Museum. After lunch you will go to visit Chongwu Ancient Stone Sculpture City, Stone Sculpture Park, at night when you take dinner, you may watch the Guzheng Show.

PST7: Xiamen-Yongding Earthen Building (Tulou), Sept. 28, Cost: USD 57, Round-Trip

Day 1: XIAMEN/YONGDING/XIAMEN
After breakfast, visit Yongding Earthern Building, which is under application for the World Heritage, including Zhencheng Building, Kuiju Building, Rusheng Building, Fuyu Building and so on. Then take bus back to Xiamen.
